Wikipedia
The story begins when ten strangers are invited to a secluded island off the coast of Devon by a mysterious host known only as U. N. Owen. None of the guests actually knows their host or understands why they have been invited. Soon after their arrival, a recording accuses each person of having been responsible for someone's death in the past.
When one of the guests suddenly dies, the remaining people realize that the danger is not an accident. One by one, the guests begin to die, with each death mysteriously corresponding to an old nursery rhyme displayed inside the house. Cut off from the mainland and with no apparent way to escape, everyone becomes both a potential victim and a suspect. K

+1
Unlike many of Christie's famous mysteries, the novel does not revolve around Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple. Instead, Christie builds suspense through isolation, fear, suspicion, hidden guilt, and the gradual breakdown of trust among the characters. The result is a tightly constructed mystery in which readers are constantly challenged to determine who is responsible—and who will be the next victim.
Perfect for: Readers who enjoy murder mysteries, psychological thrillers, suspense, classic detective fiction, closed-circle mysteries, and unexpected twists. It is also widely regarded as one of Agatha Christie's masterpieces and her best-selling novel.
