Invisible Helix is a Japanese mystery thriller and crime novel by Keigo Higashino and part of the Detective Galileo series. The story begins when the body of Ryota Uetsuji, a young man, is discovered floating in Tokyo Bay. His death is revealed to be murder—he was shot. His live-in girlfriend, Sonoka Shimauchi, who had reported him missing, disappears before investigators can question her. Because she had suffered abuse in the relationship, the police initially suspect she may be responsible, but her airtight alibi forces detectives to reconsider their assumptions.

Detectives Kusanagi and Utsumi turn to Detective Galileo for help as the investigation uncovers hidden connections involving forgotten histories, personal secrets, and seemingly unrelated individuals.
