🎯 Is it useful for the latest Class 11 exam?

Yes. The Exemplar is particularly useful after completing the normal NCERT textbook because its questions are more conceptual, application-oriented and higher-order than routine textbook exercises. It is also useful for building a foundation for JEE/NEET-level Chemistry, although your school exam should remain the first priority.

For school/annual exam:

NCERT textbook → NCERT exercises → NCERT Exemplar → Exemplar solutions → sample/practice papers

Don't start by memorising the solutions. First attempt each Exemplar problem yourself, then use the solution to identify where your reasoning went wrong.

Important distinction

There are two different things you may be referring to:

• NCERT's original “Chemistry Exemplar Problems Class XI” — the official NCERT source.
• Oswaal's “NCERT Exemplar (Problems–Solutions) Class 11 Chemistry” — a commercial guide containing solved Exemplar questions plus additional exam-oriented features.
