Watch Me is the first novel in the second Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. Set ten years after the events of the original Shatter Me series, the novel returns to its dystopian world with a new generation of characters while continuing the legacy of Juliette Ferrars and Aaron Warner Anderson. Blending science fiction, romance, suspense, and action, it introduces a fresh story that can appeal to both longtime fans and new readers.
The story follows James Anderson, the younger brother of Aaron Warner Anderson, and Rosabelle Wolff, a highly trained assassin living under the authoritarian rule of the Reestablishment. Their lives collide on Ark Island, the regime's last major stronghold, where secrets, surveillance, and impossible choices shape their futures.
About the Story
Ten years have passed since Juliette and Warner helped overthrow the Reestablishment and establish a new government. However, the Reestablishment has survived and is preparing to regain power from its final base on Ark Island.
James Anderson successfully infiltrates Ark Island, although he immediately finds himself imprisoned. Meanwhile, Rosabelle Wolff lives under constant surveillance as a skilled assassin who never questions her orders—until events begin to challenge everything she believes.
